Description
This is a Contract position as a Computer Security Engineer with an expected duration of six months and the possibility of up to an additional six months for selected personnel. All work will be performed at sites located in Nigeria. The minimum requirements are as follows: BS Computer Science, BS Information Systems or equivalent, at least five years relevant experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, extensive knowledge of Network Security Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Network Filter Rule Design, Network Vulnerability Testing, Data Integrity, Data Collection and Analysis, Disaster Recovery Planning, Protocol Analysis, Secure Network Authentication / Biometrics, Incident Handling, Intrusion Detection, and industry appropriate certifications (MCSE, CCNA, CCIE, Net+, etc.) . Previous international experience is a plus.
Specific anticipated duties are as follows, but additional duty assignments may be made based on project needs and personal skill sets.
Maintains state of the art knowledge with respect to computer security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques. Formulates, develops, and implements integrated network security for medium-to-large computer networks including standards for computer and network security, access rules, network traffic filters, system security, and routing protocol. Serves as primary point of contact for network security issues and installs, configures, and maintains computer and network operating system and application security.
The client will provide an advance cash stipend of $3000 US to cover transportation to and from the Nigeria. While in country, hotel accommodations will be paid for by the client and a meal will be provided at the site cafeteria during normal working hours. The Contractor will be expected to pay for his/her own meals at other times. The client will also reimburse the candidates for the work and residence permits and provide a three week paid vacation. Actual compensation is based on relevant experience and demonstrated specific skill sets. Overtime (maximum of 30 hours per week) will be paid at standard rates for this position.
